Intalok System
Intalok combines the natural strength of solid wood with a unique interlocking building system to deliver you a robust building solution that creates buildings with outstanding design, quality, and structural integrity.
Intalok’s innovative system of interlocking pins and tensioning rods, locks timber frame components together. It is engineered and constructed to a high structural standard (Insulation R value and bracing units exceed the minimum requirement of NZS:3604 Building Code).
A cavity between the interior and exterior walls is filled with extra insulation, which not only makes our wood buildings warm and energy efficient, but stops the creaking noises often associated with timber (caused by changes in temperature contracting and expanding the wood).
The result is strong, durable, warm, and dry buildings with the flexibility to handle extreme temperatures and natural events.
Intalok’s internal pine walls are held together by interlocking steel pins driven into the boards at the wall and post intersections.
Threaded steel rods are hidden within the walls and tightened to give Intalok its incredible strength and durability.
A special battening system between the interior and exterior walls, produces a cavity filled with insulation for extra warmth and energy efficiency which helps prevent creaking.
We produce our own timber components
We produce engineered laminated timber structures for many applications including lintels, exposed rafters, ridge beams, bridge beams and engineer portals.
We also produce dressed timber, exterior weatherboard, finger-jointed timber, fascia board and many other specialist products.
